Matija Buci膰, Assistant Professor (September 2023-September 2025) received the European Prize in Combinatorics for outstanding achievements in Ramsey theory (Fishburn and Graham's problem), graph theory (Erd艖s-Gallai conjecture), and discrete geometry.
Cosmin Pohoata '14 also shared the European Prize in Combinatorics for important achievements in the following areas: combinatorial geometry (Heilbronn triangle problem), extremal graph theory (Erd艖s 鈥渂ox鈥 problem), and the variegated 鈥渕atching鈥 problem of hypergraphs.
