Ricci flow has proved to be a crucial tool for many problems in differential geometry.听In this talk, I will start from the basics of Ricci flow and discuss several landmark results听in the development of Ricci flow. In particular, I will sketch the differentiable sphere theorem听proved by S. Brendle and R. Schoen.
