Quantitative unique continuation for solutions of elliptic PDEs

We discuss a version听of the Remez inequality for solutions of second order linear elliptic PDEs and its听application to estimates of eigenfunctions for the Laplace-Beltrami operator. The role of the degree of a polynomial is now played by the听Almgren frequency of a solution.听The talk is based on a joint work with A. Logunov.
