The incompressible Euler equations imply that the Lagrangian听trajectories of individual water particles are automatically analytic听in time, as long as the velocity field is slightly better than听differentiable in the space variables. We'll discuss some of the听mechanisms in different fluid models that allow for this property, and听some that break it.
