Homology decompositions for p-local finite groups

A p-local finite group (S, F, L) is a generalizationÌýof the p-local data of a finite group. The cohomology of aÌýp-local finite group (S,F, L) is defined as the mod-p cohomologyÌýof the realization |L| of its centric linking system. There areÌýthree types of mod-p homology decompositions for |L| overÌýthe collection of F-centric subgroups. I will discuss someÌý open problems and recent results on the sharpness ofÌýthese homology decompositions.
