Growth, isoperimetric inequalities and shapes of F酶lner sets in groups.

I will make a survey of old and new results about growth functions and isoperimetric inequalities in discrete groups. We will discuss basic problems that remain open. We will speak about recent progress in understanding of F酶lner functions of solvable groups, and we will see that one of the challenging problems in this area is related to a divisibility property of integer polynomials in several variables.
